In 2015 I became a student of the horse, when I got my first beloved horse called Boxer. I wanted to learn to trim his feet and to do that I needed to learn about the inner anatomy. I have been studying the equine foot since 2015 and have dissected over 500 feet in this time. I completed an equine science degree with the Equine Science Academy for 3 years and passed every exam for every module. I attended an advanced equine foot biomechanics course with EPS solutions Ltd, with over 65 hours one to one tuition, plus course work and exams. I also have support from some of the most incredible professionals in the world, Professor Christopher Pollitt, Dr Sue Dyson, Dr Simon Curtis, Dr Stephen O'Grady to name a few.
I spend over 20 hours week on research and study, with webinars, scientific literature and discussions.
I have a very active Facebook page - The study of the equine hoof with over 75K followers, vets, professors, farriers, trimmers and horse owners.
My day job is a Clinical Researcher, 3 days a week where I run clinical trials in New Zealand and Australia, mainly cancer trials.
